Default Early 2004 new year's resolutions (new year year)

What I want to have done by November 20th 2004

- Find ANY girlfriend at all

- Find bulk supply of Tim Tams for Tamara

- Learn Cantonese
(for Hong Kong movies, restaurants, travel)

- Save for trip to Hong Kong in 2005

- Only see GIT once every fortnight
(see above)

- Get some walking in

Thanks.

Tim Chmielewski (aka Bruce) was almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea:

I see connection here. Tim<->Tamara<->Tim Tams

Now, which Tim is it, though?

Or is there not enough Tim?

Yesterday, after years of trying, I finally managed to take a photo of a
subway train that said "INSTRUCTION CAR" just so that someday I can caption
it "...but where's the DATA CDR?" when I'm ready to make a joke that's
nerdy even by the standards of jokes about LISP. -- James "Kibo" Perry

Me to except I do not think that my source of NOTBITTERNESS would approve.

I had a Tim Tam once. I had a Tamera once too. Well, a Tammy.

Learn more better English.

Try not to trip or fall in 2005.

I see too many gits every day at work.

Try not to walk into anything that could hurt me. Like a bar.

Also drop my cholesterol back down under 200. Also change 20 pounds of
excess baggage into something useful. Or at least nicer to look at. Also
drastically curtail my caffeine intake down to almost nothing.

You are welcome.

But wait! See FURTHER above:

Wouldn't one (or more!) of three or four obvious choices lead to saving
money while seeing GIT every single night?

Quoth the Tim Chmielewski:

I found a really pretty girlfriend recently. Unfortunately, she was
someone else's girlfriend. Dammit.

I learnt the Cantonese for 'One-Day Travelcard, please' but this did
me no good at all, as the fascist pig-dogs did not understand a word
I was saying at my local Underground station. I was so disheartened
that I didn't bother learning 'haddock and chips twice, please'.

What the hell does "twice" mean in that sentence? Is the fish and
chips guy going to give you two orders? Double helpings in one order?
Is he going to hand it to you and then take it back, then hand it to
you again?

Their site is at:
http://www.gitgals.com/

Two of them are married, one has a boyfriend already and the other is a
man. For some reason I am attracted to women bass players though.

Suzannah from GIT is really pretty:

Thanks.

And the OTHER other one I was talking about is a man-ager.

You did say ANY girlfriend at all, not a SINGLE, UNATTACHED girlfriend.
Don't they need more affairs and divorces to write songs about, anyway?

Default Early 2004 new year's resolutions (new year year time don)

Quoth the Kevin S Wilson:

In an effort to promote understanding in the colonies, I shall explain.
In fact, you managed to guess correctly on your first attempt, in that
the phrase is asking for two orders that are the same. This could, of
course, be communicated by asking for two orders of whatever, but this
is terribly inefficient, particularly when one is trying to create The
Empire at the same time, which I probably don't need to explain to you.
And I'm sure that I don't need to point out the obvious ambiguity with
asking for 'two haddock and chips' to Mr Kevin's 'I have so much brane
some is leaking out of my arse' Wilson. Hence the phrase is shortened
to asking for something 'twice', like I quoted above.

Simple, no?

How is that I have acquired this reputation on ARK of being a
mean-spirited know-it-all? Those closest to me know me to be a kind,
gentle, humble, and modest Renaissance man.
