Default New Pagan/Alternative message board! (board)

We have a great new message board. It's run by Pagans for pagans, or anyone
interested in sharing intelligent alternative concepts and ideas! We even
have a free classified ad service and a private chat room! We need members!
That means you! Come check us out at:

Coontail articulated:

Good oh. Strangely enough, we have a Pagan(ish) place we're already
quite comfy with... ta though.

What does it have that other sites don't? i.e. what makes yours different
to any other site?

It will eventually have a more intellectual bent than most other Pagan/
Alternative sites if we ever get enough members to have a conversation! Any
suggestions? Come see us again! ---Coontail

[Posting restructured to conform to newsgroup standards]

1/ If you're advertising in here, please use an [AD] tag.

2/ We don't top post - if you were here on Friday, lurking[1], then
you'll seen the mini-FAQ going past - failing that head over to
http://urp.yoshiwara.org.uk/ and you'll find the Posting Guidelines there.

3/ I think you'll find that as more "sites" arrive, the pool of available
contributions goes down rather than up. "Build it and they will come"
sites only generally attract fluffy-bunnies, since those who might be
partaking of "intellectual" discussions usually have their existing sites
and newsgroups and are not likely to move.

[1] And if not, why not? Good practice is to lurk for a week before
posting.

A word of advice (other than follow the link in the sig...).

You will never get your site going by doing this.

The only thing that will make people come is, we have found through
expeirence - personal invitation.

However, what will make them STAY is having something to talk about.

Flames sometimes do it (though we manage without, due to strict guidelines
and "we" here means the link in the sig), but without topics of interest,
nothing works.

That means you, and whoever else is there now, have to do all the hard work
atm. Eventually, if it works, you can relax a bit - but if the modstaff
aren't willing to put in the time to make the discussions worth reading,
you're wasting your time....

(this soap box seems to be getting a lot of use ....) :}
