OT: my e-mail to Critter Companions (mind life time adoption)
One of the cats is middening, and I am fairly sure it is Czarina.
1) It is not a health problem, she just had a vet checkup
2) Most likely not a litter box problem , as the other three cats seem OK.
Nonetheless, I will make a special effort this weekend to clean out, scrub
thoroughly, and replace three boxes.
3) She does it in the living room, east end. Not daily, but I think in response
to Silver. That is the problem, she and Silver are just NOT getting along.
Silver has become quite aggressive towards her. I am sure this is a combination
of stress and territorial marking.
Now, I know you have often wished to have Czarina back in your life. This may
be the time for it. Like my other cat I had to give back, Hestia, the problem
is that Czarina really needs to be an only-cat. I have had many of my cat
friends point out that this is a common trait for Russian Blues.
If you cannot take her now, no problem. I am quite willing to keep her for
awhile and clean up the messes. The messes are NOT a problem. Into every
cat-Daddys' life some poop must fall. Middening happens. My worry is about
Czarina's peace of mind. She is happy enough, yet deserves better. She desrves
to be an only cat.
As such, if you cannot take her back, please put her back up for adoption. I
will now be her FOSTER, not her Guardian. Please make sure folks understand
that she really needs to be an only cat. She is 15 years old, not rambunctious,
just a purring sweetie.
