As some people on this list haven't learnt to respect others wishes. I am
leaving soc.religion.quaker. I will come back only when I have something to
post. But I must say that I find it very funny when English speakers doubt
what Greek speakers who know the original language and Church History
including Fathers say, in favour of some critics of the Bible and some
Protestant authors who don't know history like those who say that the Church
denied the Septuagint when the most ancient Church the Eastern Orthodox
always had it! God Bless! and Goodbye!

Funny indeed, from someone who just fisished telling a bunch of
english speakers that he knows better than they whether the
english of 1611 is the same as the english of 2003.


I have seen no evidence that you have such knowledge.

A friend told me about thy answer so I came back just for thee. Really it
seems thou art "dying" for an argument (so to speak)... I will pray God to
help thee get over this spirit it is not good. I used to be like thee but

P.S.: Just one thing I said that KJV English is not so different but thee
doesn't know something about me I am a native English speaker too. My mother
is British, I was born in Britain I spoke British until 6 (only English) I
know Greek too very well as my father is Greek, I went to the Greek school,
and I grew up here so I know both languages equally when I suppose thee
doesn't know Greek. Am I right?

Thank-you. Guy Macon has in times past set followups to alt.dev.null
, but he said he wouldn't do it any more so what are we to believe.
It's a way of making comments on his posting go away, unless one is
persistant. "engineer" is Guy's new code name so it's a temptation
to believe he's up to his old tricks, since this message is in reply
to one of his posts, apparently.

Please don't leave the group. There are few enough voices of sanity
here and driving people from the group with endless, senseless
arguements is just what they are hoping to achieve. It's a form of
"coercion." Yet I understand if you choose to go.

Fred, I have asked you again and again to call me by the name that
I post under. You are harassing me and bullying me by attempting
to bring more harassment upon my head. I am the sole support of a
severely handicapped wife who requires very expensive treatments.
I stopped archiving my posts and started using another name after
my then-current employer started getting harassing phone calls
which the phone company traced to Canada. If, with the help that
you are so eager to supply, it starts happening with my current
employer, I could possibly lose my job and not be able to afford
the treatments for my wife. Unlikely, yes, but I simply cannot
afford to take the chance. I thought that the harassment was
because of my involvement in the anti-spam community, but your
actions are beginning to make me question whether it might be
you; how far you are willing to go to hurt someone?

And now I must ask you, what do YOU get out of refusing me this
simple request? What are your motives? Is purposely trying to
hurt people just because you disagree with them something that
you want to do with your life? How would you feel if someone
started trying to hurt you?


I said that I would give proper notice. I did. You, in your
most recent post about crosspost alerts, set followups to
soc.history.ancient - the same sort of thing you criticize me
for doing. There is a difference, though; you didn't give notice.

When did I insult anyone? As for questions which come out of a spirit for
debate I tell thee what the Apostle of Old said,
"But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and
strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain' (Titus 2:9). I
answered the questions concerning the N.T., etc. but thee chose to ignore my
answers... Even this answer thee posted shows thy state, saying that I have
insulted people when I did not insult anyone, saying that I pretend to leave
when I had left, saying that I post more insults.... If I called thee a liar
thee would say "Look he is insulting me" but what is the state of him who
doesn't tell the truth? Repent friend... not for me but because God is
watching thee. Saying that people who do not respect others wishes don't
respect them is not an insult but a fact. Saying that people who spread lies
about others are liars is not an insult but a fact! Show me ONE insult that
I have posted in previous posts... Come on...only one! But is there no shame
in thee? Telling lies about someone on a group that all members have access
to his posts?

I don't know how you know that for sure, but then I've never seen any
posts by "engineer" since they don't appear in Google Groups. Guy
generally blocked his posts from appearing in Google Groups, so that
would be consistent.
