Default a little good press? (wicca witchcraft magic bit paganism)

I'm in two minds about this. Certainly it's a very positive press, which is
good, but it also equates paganism with wicca (in a comment which shows that
the person commenting doesn't actually understand the Rede), it implies very
strongly that pagans in general subscribe to X3, and states that witchcraft
and druidry "can overlap and blend under the one name of paganism" which is
just downright *wrong*, unless you're talking about a label of convenience
for the likes of the census.

Romauld's remarks about nature religions would seem to be pertinent here.
Generalisations about paganism as a form of earth-based spirituality which
often incorporates magic are fair enough, but presenting it as all sweetness
and light seems a bit daft, since anyone who actually deals with nature on a
daily basis is well aware that it *isn't*.

(Not having a go at your mates here, Bek, just wondering if showing such a
slanted view is going to be counter-productive, in the end ...)

Default a little good press? (tablet don)

That particular ste of views didn't come from my mate. <sigh> that was the
19 YO IIRC (and I'm just up, first coffee in front of me not focusing yet)
I agree entirely with what you say - it implied that we're all newage-
sewage take what you like and ignore the stuff that you don't fluff-
bunnies.

As I've said before, just because I'm a Pagan it doesn't necessarily follow
that I'm a Nice Person (tm)

Default a little good press? (sense aspects time paganism)

*nods* and in a sense, if we're looking to counter the satanic-panic view of
paganism, I suppose it might be sensible from a PR point of view to focus on
the less threatening aspects of it, for the time being. It just grates, thassall ...

I'll take ethical and honest over "nice" anyday

What's one of them, then?

Default a little good press? (area bit convert way)

Arrggh! Spin for Pagan PR! I'm not sure that this is what I want (one
coffee later) But then I'm currently fighting through the legalities of
setting myself up as a Marriage Officer for the Pagans of this area, so
positive press helps. I'll go into ins and outs when I'm a bit further down
the road with it.

Aw. Shucks. Thanks hon ((((Jani))))

A different way of controlling the cursor on the screen. A pen which when
moved over it's base can be very precise in drawing progs. It can also
produce handwriting on the screen, and there are certain programs that will
convert your handwriting into editable text (but not my scrawl.) I'm using
it to play with my graphics ATM. If I start to produce anything worthwhile
I'll post links.

Toast, hot buttered toast, baked potato dripping with butter, crumpets
toasted over the fire that ooze the butter out of them when you bite in. A
jam doughnut out of the frier long enough to be safe, but not cold, dusted
with white caster sugar, crisp on the outside and soft in the middle, till
tongue reaches warm raspberry jam.
