To Iceland!
Had a few days left over from my work holidays, so decided to go
there. Will be staying in Keflavík for 3 nights.

It's about the same size as the town I live in, so at least I won't
get my usual city-phobia (I can't stand them, especially when
there's lots of people around!). I've booked a daytrip to the Blue
Lagoon, which the organizers (Reykjavík Excursions) put on an extra
bus at special request to collect from Keflavík early in the
morning, then going from Reykjavík to the Blue Lagoon.

They're also including a return trip back to Keflavík in the price -
so it works out cheaper for me to take this tour than it does for
the separate buses.

I just hope the weather will be clear enough to see the aurora -
that's something I wanted to do in this lifetime.

All together, it's fairly cheap, especially as I'll be staying in
the Hotel Keflavík, which is 4 star. I got the flights and hotel
booking via expedia, for £257. The daytrip will be 3400,- ISK,
that's about £25 and my bus to the airport and back is costing me
£33. Separate travel insurance was about £8.
