Very Interesting. Bible based cults are named as are missionaries but
not once is a Jewish group named as a cult.

It's impossible for any Jewish group to meet the definition of a cult &
still be practicing Judaism.
For one thing, cults - by definition - recruit. Jews are not allowed to
proselytize.

What Jewish cults? Amongst other things, cults usually involve recruitment,
mind control, a charismatic leader who relieves a person of all the money in
his bank account. I do not know of any Jewish group which would fit this
description.

The critical word here is "extreme".

The vast majority of Christians say the same thing about Christianity.
However, I suspect that in the "westernized world," nine out of ten
cults are Christian. The remainder are, I suspect, mostly "help help"
secular cults such as est, Landmark Forum, Scientology, and pyramid scams.

Most older Wiccan Trads prohibit prosletizing--- that doesn't mean the
members, nor the leaders[1], do not do so.

[1] Wiccan coverns are "supposed to" have temporary leaders,
specifically so that no one holds "power" too long. I'm not sure if a
destructive cult can exist with such a mechanism in place.

YEAH, and MOON has said even worse of the Jews, much less any
*schisms* from them. Of course it doesn't stop MOON from trying to
convert them does it.

When i think of the heartbreak, I have seen in a Jewish Mothers eye's,
as she watches her grown son struggling in a *moonie* way of life.
I'm sorry, but i don't believe in conversion either, based upon what i feel inside.
