Default Do Christians Sin? (devil theology heaven sacrifice promised land)

You are being deliberately ignorant.

I am not interested or talking about man's ability.

I am taking about God's ability!!!

Man is incapable of anything but choosing who he wishes to serve.

As I said, you speak death (man's ability), not life (God's ability). CBrown wrote:

You...speak...death. CBrown wrote:

Cal, do you know what you _use_ it for?

....as a sinner no accountability sin-free card.

It's invalid CBrown wrote:

Your statement is immature, lacking understanding and man-centred.

This is not about man, it is about Jesus and the power of His resurrection.
Michael Christ wrote:

God does not declare what is not as is.

Positionally!? Same ol' religious rhetoric. How can the heart have peace??

It can't. Unless being a sinner brings peace?? Understand?

Saying 'positionally' means you sin.

A sinner is a sinner...wrongs God.

What has changed in you?

What makes you any different?

Where is Jesus and the power of His resurrection in your life??

Where is the victory?

Where is the free and free indeed?? CBrown wrote:

God is not blind. CBrown wrote:

Unless a man loses his life, surrenders all, and loves God with all
his heart, soul, and mind he can have all the 'not guilty' theology he
likes but he will be guilty of wrong-doing.

Why?????!!!!!!!! Why is that true? Do yourself a favour and think about it. CBrown wrote:

I notice that you sin everyday but have the power of perfect
sinlessness when you speak to me, and, perfect perception
of the Scriptures. :-)).

If you sin, who are you for? Whom do you serve?

'Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is
the servant of sin.' 'He that committeth sin is of the devil;...'

'Us' is those who have laid down their lives, having offered up
their bodies as a living sacrifice...the old nature having _passed
away_...sin gone...and behold, *******all things******* are
become new. Sin is not of the new but of the old.

You could be an 'us', but you are not an 'us' yet, Cal.

Be warned, principalities would have you believe that you are
in the promised land when you wander the Sinai desert.

You really should remember that.
Michael Christ wrote:

Jesus. He is not an overcomer 'positionally' or by halves in a man. CBrown wrote:

Then you have to close your eyes to what is below then... Griz wrote:

Matthew 5
48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is
perfect.

Nothing about 'striving for perfection'.

Nothing about 'can't' either.

Is God a liar?

CBrown (you are trying to preserve what you are) wrote:

What have you committed?

Have you lost your life? Yet you sin. That means you hold on to your life.

Michael Christ wrote:

'I stand firm in that statement...' :-). CBrown wrote:

The perfect sinner speaks. Michael Christ wrote:

....said the judge over perfection.

Jesus is God!!!

Y'know when it all boils down to it, and it will. You are a sinner.
A sinner who judges everything by himself; that is all he can do.

With God, all things are possible.

Matthew 5
48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is
perfect

Theology won't save you, Cal.

Relationship.

Default Do Christians Sin? (theology sin don)

You only read as far as your theology permits...which ain't far.

What happens to the man who is humbled at heart and confesses to
God that _all_ his ways are sin?

What part of 'all unrighteousness' don't you believe?

Is God weak? Is God a liar?

Default Do Christians Sin? (life)

1 John 1:10 (KJV):
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not
in us.

What kind of fool says that he has not sinned?

What God has done means nothing to him.

Just like the man who remains a sinner.

With God, all things are possible, and he can be cleansed of _all_
unrighteousness.

Woe to the man who holds to the doctrine of 'positionally righteous' to
remain in
his sin, and teach others likewise, and deny the power of God to change
_all_
things in a man's life.

Default Do Christians Sin? (time sin)

What does a person want at the time when they 'slip up' and, e.g.,
commit an act of ***ual immorality?

Do they not want "it" at the time more than an unbroken relationship
with God through His Spirit? If they really wanted that unbroken
relationship they wouldn't commit the sin, would they?

How can a person at the same time 'slip up' and want that 'unbroken
relationship'?

I do not understand.

Default Do Christians Sin? (life resurrection sin)

I understand Michael not to be talking about God's ability/inability to sin, but
God's ability to change a man so that he does not sin. What ability does a
Christian have to live a sinless life apart from God, anyway? God's ability, not
man's. Would you agree?

My Bible says, 'strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power' (Col
1:11). What 'glorious power' is that? 'and what is the exceeding greatness of His
power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He
worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand
in the heavenly places,' (Eph 1:19).

I understand Michael to be saying that by Jesus and the power of His resurrection
is the power to make a man sinless. How is it that this claim is 'impotent and
without power'? Do you believe that by Jesus and the power of His resurrection a
man can live a sinless life? Please clarify your position.
Duane.

Default Do Christians Sin? (able clear sin way)

Yes , but not by our own power. It is the power of God within us to do His
good will.
If we are ever able to overcome sin it is because we listen to the Spirit and
allow Him to work through us. When we fail, it is because we follow our own
will and "go our own way. " For every man there is a "way" that "seemeth"
right, but in the end it leads to destruction. The Bible is very clear on this
matter... Cal...

Default Do Christians Sin? (year sin blood)

Beyond what you now can conceive.
I understand that We are told not to sin, and that if sin were not possible to
do, I would not be told not to.
I am told that when I sin I can be "cleansed" by the sprinkling of the
blood of Christ "our Lamb of God" just as the High Priest in the old testiment
did by means of the blood of an unblemished lamb back then. Praise God Our Lamb
was better in that it was forever, and not for a year...

This is what I said,"If we confess our sins", not some of our sin.
All we do, even our best deeds are as filthy rags when compared to the
righteousness of God...

We all sin, and all must confess them to God if we are to be cleansed from
them.
If you say that after conversion we never sin again you call Paul, and Christ
a liar.
We are told that for as long as we confess our sins the blood of Christ
"keeps on cleansing us from sin.", a continuous act not a one time event...
Cal...

Default Do Christians Sin? (life sin)

When the prodigal son returned he returned broken in heart, and contrite
in spirit, in dust and ashes, with all his heart.

All.

Did he again seek to leave?

You can know for sure that he did not.

You see, they only know 'before', not after. For they do not know what
it is to surrender all. They do not know of the new life of the prodigal
son in the house of the His Father.

Did he again seek to leave?

Of course not, for his eyes saw and his ears heard. His heart now
new and understood where his treasure was.

He was lost and now was found, he was dead and now was alive.

They would have you believe that the son looks out the door occasionally
and 'slips out' the door occasionally like it was a 'norm' of a son of God.

A son of God knows he was lost and knows he was found, knows he
was dead and knows he now lives; he loves his Father with _all_, above
and beyond _all_ that there is...and in that sin is cast from him as far is
the east is to the west, a gulf that is fixed forever. Amen.
