Amazing, isn't it, how this thread title which Error
invented is such an apt and perfect discription of
himself.

I am constantly impressed by the frequency with which this
sort of thing happens.

Now, when Mike McKenny says it, his warning about ad-homs
holds water - because I have never seen Mike himself
indulge in them.

But when Freddie declines to answer Susan's questions,
pulls her up for a supposed ad-hom, when he has just spent
the last four days doing nothing but reposting
ad-hom character assassinations of Susan here, and then
baits Susan for not answering *his* questions - well,
the stink of hypocrisy is as pervasive as a broken
toilet.

And it's not just Freddie and Error - many times I have
seen people attack others for what is basically their
own biggest fault - and usually they genuinely
cannot see how anyone else could fault them for that.

Maybe there is a reason why it is our own biggest
faults that we criticize most stronly in others,
although, clearly, in Karen's case the accusation
is totally groundless.

Phew. Thanks. I couldn't find "Soap Pope on a Rope" on Goggle. There
does seem to be an awful lot of fighting over relics of the past though
and of interest and relevance, I suppose, to English and Irish folk.
