If the "Anglican Communion" is doing things contrary to scripture,
then it's a good thing. This "splitting off" over disagreements is how
the 1st C church spread so rapidly. There were probably at least 100
different churches in the 1st C, between splits and planting. That is
GOOD, not bad, since it shows God has an open mind and is not 1/10th
as petty as humans. For instance, when the 1st C Adventists broke from
the 7 to start a church that continued to observe Sabbath, that was
NOT a "schism" or an "injury" to the church as a whole. The creation
of the 7th Day Adventist church in the 1st C gave even the Sabbath
observers a place to worship comfortably with like-minded folk. What
could be wrong with that?

And those who insisted on baptizing infants split off from the main
church that insisted on doing it the way Christ taught. Paul, hoping
that those "baptized" infants would grow up to believe (and he
couldn't control the mis-behavior of their parents), gave the infant
baptizers their leave to start a new church, heresy and all.

That ONE heresy would not be fatal to the infant baptizers, if it
remained the only one.

It didn't remain the only heresy, and so now we have the totally
apostate "churches" like the Mormons, the Masons, the Roman Catholic,
etc., including today's openly homo***ual "churches" (NOT), called the
Metropolitan Community Church movement (for those who want to sleep
with the same ***, but who wish to "worship god.") John W
