Why are you pandering to McCain's vietnam involvement?
He wasn't a "hero". He didn't volunteer to be captured and
held POW, it was simply an unexpected cir***stance he managed to
survive, like some survivors of Rwanda, Darfur, Bosnia, etc.
Surviving doesn't make one a hero, expecially considering that
the survivor was one of those participating in the War Crimes/Crimes
Against humanity in the first place.

Almost as naseaus as you asserting any "heroism" to a participant
in an belligerant attack, invasion and destruction of a smaller, weaker
and poorer sovereign nation.

I was not sure how to right what I did. Yes, his survival under those
conditions was heroic. He did not simply survive, he led people, he
helped them survive, and he turned down an earlier release to help
those who would have remained behind. That is heroic. That he may
also have been guilty for the bombing is a different issue.

The comparison was to your assertion that someone engaged in an evil
immoral activity can still be a hero for microcosmic events that occur
