LOL, but you don't spam the newsgroup John.

I may not agree with your posts, but I agree they are not
spam. I just don't like it when people just keep posting the same old
stuff over and over again. The main spammers in this newsgroup are
Craig, Rob, Dereck, Denise, Marc, and Chas.
Although some of these people may post other items from time
to time that are not spam, the fact is that most of what they post is
on their hard drive already. Hence the spam, because it is not hard to
just copy and paste a file and post it.

Default Nothing like "holier than thou"... (time way)

in article 3fcd13e9.81323859@netnews.comcast.net, Mark P. at

Thanks Mark for putting me in such a prestigious category.

Just to clarify one small note. THE FACT IS most of what I post is NOT on my
hard drive or found anywhere online (that I can find). Where is the 100
Q&A's published online? What about the pamphlet by Rev. Tono that I am
painstakingly typing out for certain people that I KNOW want access to this
information that many SGI and NST members know little about. If it can be
found online PLEASE tell me so I can share it with others easier (just post
the link). As far as I know, there is no way to even obtain a copy of the
pamphlet in question except through Rev. Tono himself! Even the OKO lectures
from Myohoji are completely typed out by me.

I'm not deny or admitting that what I post is spam, but the fact is that
while it is not hard to "cut and paste" articles or ex-posts (which I have
done), I also spend allot of time on my "SPAM". Perhaps in a couple years
when I have a huge folder of old ARBN posts and nothing new to add, I will
recycle them again and again.

Thanks for the mirror Mark.

Rob

Default Nothing like "holier than thou"... (sense definition)

According to Mark's own definition, he spams us with every
article he posts, because he repeats the same old LS quote in
each and every post. In the same vein, Denise does not spam because
she NEVER posts the same article more than once. Just for his information,
spam is technically defined as:

"Internet spam is one or more unsolicited messages, sent or posted as
part of a larger collection of messages, all having substantially identical content."

or

"To post irrelevant or inappropriate messages to
one or more Usenet newsgroups, mailing lists, or other
messaging system in deliberate or accidental violation of
netiquette."

or

"To indiscriminately send
large amounts of unsolicited e-mail meant to promote a
product or service. Spam in this sense is sort of like the
electronic equivalent of junk mail sent to "Occupant"

Your posts do NOT meet any of the definitions of spam, except
for Mark's definition which he violates himself on a daily basis.

I find your posts to be quite appropriate, and I encourage you
to continue, even if that means you have to repeat yourself
sometimes.

Hear, hear, you're doing a great job, Rob and what you have typed out by
Rev. Tono will be copied to *my* hard disk.

Chas repeats posts endlessly, and Denise NEVER repeats posts, yet they are
both spammers. Does this mean spam is just a post that Mark is not
interested in at the time?
