I've recently become aware of a potential problem with this group, that
being that it has a single moderator (Thank you, Baird). Baird and I
have been talking in private email, and we agree it's time to "take it
to the people", as Reagan used to say.
Technically, according to our charter, what I'm about to propose is
votes needed by regular s.r.p. posters is unrealistic at best. So I'm
proposing an end-around, bypassing outdated rules to fill a current
need.
Briefly, I'm proposing a new co-moderator -- myself.
I was one of five original Modkin, co-authored our charter and helped
campaign for this group's existence. (N.B. If you really care, I'll
give you a pointer to the original RFD where my former net.name,
carbonspace name, bio and old email are still there as Modkin and
proponent.) I served for about a year, then cir***stances took away my
online time and I passed my duties on to a friend, duly ratified by the
group.
I'd like to resume my dutes, if there's no objection. It flies in the
face of the rules, but we Pagani are kinda used to that.

In truth,
the process i our charter for change of Modkin badly needs amending,
and I'll likely propose that as well soon.
Thoughts? Feelings? Objections? Flames? (haven't had my flame-proof
undies out of mothballs for years, it'll be good to wear them again).
Blessings
James
