A while ago we had a thread on the BBC poll of top sacred places.

I've just heard that (from their short list of ten) the top three were

1. Walsingham

2. Iona

3. Avebury.

I don't know how many votes they had for this, and how many for the
other top places (castles, gardnes, etc.)
