Default Samhain (time way)

I've been missing for quite a while. The move to France has taken up more
of my time that I ever imagined it would. Still, there has been steady
progress and now final works to the house are under way, and with a little
luck, they should be finished in about a week to ten days. For the present,
though, I'm just popping in to wish a Happy Samhain to all - Samhain faoi
mhaise agaibh go léir.

Happy Samhain to you & yours as well, David!

Ah, yes, moving..... I'm *still* looking for my new navy blue sweater I
bought last February.....& now it's starting to get cold, I really need it!

We unfortunately missed the lunar eclipse here due to a three-day rainstorm.
However, that storm dumped several feet of snow onto the nearby mountains &
today we drove up to where the pines & firs on Mt. Charleston were & played
in it for a couple of hours. Got the unforgettable sight of Danu yahooing
down the slope on a K-Mart plastic bag, just missing the big rock & managing
to avoid a face-plant on the log fence. It was the first time in her 13
years that my California-born daughter got to play in non-artificially
produced snow.

Travel time from downtown Las Vegas: 30 minutes. Simply amazing.

Default Samhain (area)

Happy Samhain to you, and all those on a.r.d.

Amazing how anything to do with an abode takes forever. I've been
trying to clean my storage area and put in shelves, etc. What a
hassel! First admittedly, I had to find "the" storage area as things
are in little shelves and hidey holes and closets and under furniture,
etc. As trying as any major building project is, at least your old
house must have been totally sorted and emptied. I may give up and
blow up our house before that is achieved. :{ As performance art,
of course, I'd sell tickets to help fund a new house!

Congratulations on your house. Looking forward to your more
regular appearance here.

I'll have three tickets, please.

Now... if you would be willing to barter those in exchange for my
pyromaniac expertise... (you hide in safety while I blow it up)...
that would be ideal. Will travel.

To new beginnings!
- also to David --- "glad you're back" --- and certainly Dana.
Happy New Year!

Want any assistance? I was the local mad chemist in my youth, and did quite
a line in bangs!

Well, Dan! And Kevin! Your interest is appreciated but cross border
offers of chemicals and pyrotechnics!?..tsk tsk. Don't forget we're
on one of them thar flakey new agey neo-pagan groups. I'd only
have to think about the house to blow it up, n'est ce pas?

As to my hiding in safety, I've been figuring this out for a while.
I build a sturdy wall around the house to protect the neighbours and
sell the event on tv. Oh, it's so complicated.

Default Samhain (air clear sword life way)

Cross border? You bubble things up on site! :-) Simpler that way! I could
really get back into the mad chemist/demented alchemist role! BWHAHAHAHA!
:-)

Quite a lot of my earlier life was peppered with musings such as as "hmm! I
didn't expect it to go quite like that!", periodic bangs, and strange pongs
and ghastly whiffs wandered around the house, eliciting comments of the rest
of the family such as "Kevin! Did you have to do that?" or "What in God's
name are you doing now?!!" My mother wasn't too keen on one occasion when an
entire bed of plants wilted and deliquesced into green slimy muck after one
cloud of gas blew across it. :-) Accidents were rare however, and became
non-existent as I got older. Nevertheless what with bangs, flames, flashes,
rockets, clouds of poison gas, improvised flame throwers (set fire to part
of the garden with that, then the apparatus caught fire and nearly set fire
to me - I left it in a flower bed to burn out. Not one of my triumphs!
<grin!> The napalm worked better though! <grin!>) plus practicing with air
rifles, axe and knife throwing, sword wielding and unarmed martial arts it
was probably like living next door to a Black September training camp. :-)
We had a rapid turn-over of neighbours until we got one almost as potty as
me - she just regarded my activities with mild interest. :-) The cats also
regarded me with a great degree of dubiety and stayed well clear if I was
doing something odd-looking or potentially alarming! :-) I have seen how
fast a cat can run when it feared for its life (the indoor fireworks
incident! <grin!>) - occasionally they'd spend an hour at the bottom of the
garden recuperating before deciding it was safe to return. I hasten to add
that no cats were harmed in the pursuit of scientific excellence, though
some were in therapy for years with PTSD. :-)

Sounds good to me - and sell tickets. Have a few bets as I'm working - will
the fruitcake blow himself up or not? I'll put in the odd entertaining
cackle! :-)Have a small fair leading up to the grand occasion, complete with
raffles. Then sell off bits of the rubble as mementos! :-)

Any room for strange clouds of gas, flashes, flames and general
fulminations? :-)

Default Samhain (evolution mind year life time)

This Samhain has been a very strange one as I've seen polarities rise
to the surface of the sea of life where I live. Many seem to be living
only on one level and acting as if nothing else exists or matters than
their own POV. Moving in such a blind fashion seems to presage an
impending collision of lifestyles with the hardness of realities.

One also wonders what the thinking was to place the elections in the
United States at this time of year. Was it a natural evolution of
events or was it esoterically established? For that matter, one
wonders if other events of so-called non-Pagan origin and foundation
have esoteric sub-currents within them and that it is lip service that
is being put forward as a cover that is normally presented by the
propaganda establishments.

May the three harmonies of spirit, mind and body bring blessings,
peace and prosperity to everyone as the pathways between them fade
into the darkness of the coming months,

Default Samhain (life time)

Beannachtaí na Oiche Shamna.

Here's hoping that your life in the lands where you now live will be a
garden of wonders for you once the time of settlement has been
completed (if that ever actually finishes that is :-)).
