Default Time is short (salvation sense death brethren life)

May I please share a brief thought? Let's read
1 Corinthians 7:29-31, "But this I say, brethren, the time
has been shortened, so that from now on those who have
wives should be as though they has none; and those who
weep, as though they did not weep; and those who
rejoice, as though they did not rejoice; and those who buy,
as though they did not possess; and those who use the
world, as though they did not make full use of it; for the
form of this world is passing away.(NASB)" Do most
Christians really live with the sense of urgency that Paul
seems to indicate that we should have? Do we really believe
that spreading the message of salvation to the lost and
dying of this world is the most important thing we can do?
Our priorities are all messed up. We are far more attached
to this decaying and corrupt world than we should be. We
should view this world as a sinking ship. We are on the life
boat. When we venture back onto the sinking ship it should
only be so that we may tell others about their condition, instead
of going back to enjoy the pleasures and entertainments that
the ship has to offer. This is truly a life and death situation.
But we act as if it doesn't matter at all to us who may perish
and who may not.
In Christ's Love
