Default Wald on spontaneous generation (space bit theory)

From below, how can something that doesn't physically move, move. What
is it that actually exists. It would be only an effect moving, not a real object.

What difference are you after?

No doubt, he was. He made major contributions in many areas.

This is a bit misleading, Einstein didn't discover the principle of
relativity. This was well known. You probably mean the theory of special
relativity itself. However, the equations of SR were well known prior to
Einstein, that's why they are called the Lorentz Transformation, from
The Lorentz Ether Theory (LET). These equations were known to work, so
Einstein did not actually introduce any new content. What Einstein did
as to look at the problem from a different perspective. LET asserts that
there is an absolute space, but unobservable, Einstein dispensed with
the unobservable.
