So do I. That's why I created it. Some people get the international
newsgroup while others get the Australian one. Now more people should
be able to read about/discuss Spiritualist matters.

In any case here is both :

aus.religion.spiritualism is for the discussion of Spiritualism and
related topics in Australia. Examples of on-topic discussions include:

- Mediumship
- Spirit healing
- Spirit Guides/Helpers
- Psychic Protection
- Exorcism

The longer answer is found in the charter :

RATIONALE:

This group would cater for discussions, news and general information
concerning the beliefs/practices of Spiritualism, known in some parts
of the world as Spiritism.

Relevant topics would include such things as life after physical
death, communication with spirit people, guidance/help from the spirit
world, spirit guides/helpers, mediumship, psychic protection,
exorcism, spirit healing, etc. in particular in an Australian context.

Though not a belief of all Spiritualists, the topic of reincarnation
may be considered as on-topic where it helps explain/support general
Spiritualist concepts/beliefs.

Currently there is no Australian group for the discussion of
Spiritualism.

What is not acceptable:

- Binaries (post a URL instead)
- Crossposting to more than 3 other newsgroups
- Commercial adverti*****ts
- For-Sale adverti*****ts

Well, IF it had been carried by my ISPs server I would have ! Keep in
mind however that many newsreaders have a description as regards what
they are about in the newsgroup list.

As regards stone circles. If you think they might have a Spiritualist
association then let's hear what you think. :-)

Hi Justus,

First things first. Some people who get the alt.religion.spiritualism
newsgroup still cannot get the new one aus.religion.spiritualism.
Some of these people may want to know how things are going in
this newsgroup. Because they may want to read/post here
themselves and/or because they want to recommend it to others.

Because of that would you mind including that newsgroup in the
"Newsgroups" line when posting here please ? See my header of this
post. In time when the new group is better known there will be posts
that are best made to only the Australian newsgroup eg. about
Spiritualist churches in Melbourne etc.

Now, to your question. When a newsgroup has got regular posts in,
AND a certain minimum number of posts have been made to it, one
can see/post to the newsgroup from Google.

We have NOT yet got to that stage yet with aus.religion.spiritualism.
We need more posts in total and more regular discussions.

Because the people reading *any* newsgroup tend to read/post for a
while and then do other things/post to other groups for short/longer
periods what some people do in this situation is to crosspost and/or
re-post messages that they might have made elsewhere.

Hope this helps you, and others. If you/others have any
questions/answers/observations about Spiritualist topics and/or
either/both newsgroups then please post them.

Have you done a "refresh" of your newsgroup from them ? If it is still
missing then perhaps you could email them and point out that it seems
to have vanished and you would like it to be put back if that is
possible.

Are wanadoo a phone call away ? If so then IF you get no reply to your
email then you could phone them as well.

They may have confused the names and accidentally deleted the previous
one. Be sure to mention in your email that there are TWO newsgroups
and what they are called.

Yes, it is. It's "moderated" status makes it very difficult indeed for
anyone to post to it.


If you cannot get wanadoo to fix things then there are other options.
Perhaps you could try them first though ? In case it is only an oversight by them.
