But compare that with me. Of my 8 great-grandparents, I know the

because I know I had 1 great-grandparent born in the US of mostly
Scots (two clans) and Irish (1 clan) ancestry, 6 great-grandparents
from the Black Forest near the point where Germany, France and
Belgium meet, and 1 great-grandparent from Vienna and points south
in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Why should I bother with a generic
label like merely "white" when I know my ancestry like that? I've
even got an okay idea what percentages to assign to French, German
and Dutch for the 6 from the Black Forest based on some Internet
searches.

So what does "white identity" mean to me? It means the folks who
have it were illegitamate so they don't know who their grandparents
were. To anyone who has to settle for a mishmash image because you
don't have a real heritage, my condolences. But that's okay. Join
me at Oktoberfest or Highland Games anyways. You can use the
cultural exposure.

Consider for a moment, Sebastian, that Thor the Thunder God was the
child of a racially mixed marriage AND that the two races were engaged
in a war with each other...what that says for ideas that Asatru is
some sort of "Preserve the White Race" religion...

To my mind, it destroys that notion.
