Please be aware that this is posted to SEVEN different newsgroups. Enough
such that controversy is all but guaranteed.

What is being rehashed here is CENTURIES of difference that is not likely to
be resolved by any two or three of us.
I wouldn't expect Pastor Jerabek and Al to agree on the position of Mary in
the church at this or any other time.

Gee, perhaps this is part of what that obscure thing called the REFORMATION
was all about.

You are right, Scott. We will never agree. However, Christ's Holy
Body, the Church, declared the Ever-Virgin Mary the Birthgiver of God.
The term "Theotokos", or Birthgiver of God, was declared at the Third
E***enical Council at Ephesus in 430 AD, and reaffirmed at the Fourth
E***enical Council at Chalcedon in 451 AD.

We can all agree that the E***enical Councils were inspired by and
protected by the Holy Spirit, one of the Holy Trinity. No amount of
protestant rhetoric can change historical fact and spiritual truth.

Which "reformation" are we talking about...the Lutheran or the
Anglican? Keep in mind folks, that both of these "reformations" were
caused by or dealt with the Roman Catholic Church. Neither reformation
has anything to do with the Holy Eastern Orthodox Church, founded by
Christ Himself at Pentecost!

Laugh at it. Reject it. Mock it. Do what protestants are good at. Just
deal with it, go about your spiritually incomplete lives, and leave
the Holy Body of Christ alone!

Jerabek is a "pastor"??? Thank God I left protestantism. What a bad
name he gives to your schismatic faith. One cannot even apologize to
the guy without him going into attack mode.

Yes, he is and a darn good one at that.
It is truly tough to stick to the Word of God these days and while none of
us is
perfect Pastor Jerabek does stick to it as well as any sinner can be
expected to.
His preaching and Biblical positions on many topics have positively
influenced many
people in many congregations since his ordination.

As for our faith being schismatic, show me one that isn't and you'll be
showing me
a group in denial. Satan creeps in all over the place and only a fool would
believe
otherwise.
