Default A Xmas Gift to the Environmentalists (religion air case office court)

Stopping the most deceptive administration in
150 years, the "Clean Air Act" was -blocked-
by judges from going into effect.

http://www.cnn.com/2003/LAW/12/24/bush.clean.air.ap/index.html

Excerpt:

"The court's decision blocks at least temporarily
one of the Bush administration's major environmental
decisions. The court's justices said the challengers
"demonstrated the irreparable harm and likelihood
of success" of their case,
which are required to stop the rule from taking effect."

The article says the EPA has nothing to say about
the situation...

Well, since the previous EPA director resigned over the
issue..and Bush replaced her with one of his Cronies,
I am not surprised the EPA officially sits in silence.

Now, someone go arrest Jeb for Crimes against the US Constitution,
tampering with the voting system, abusing the power of office,
and finally, using the Florida legal system as a personal tool
for vigilantism and proselytizing a religion.

And grab Shrub for High Crimes against State, contempt of
the US constitution, breaking his oath of office,
abuse of the powers of office,
felonious assault on a global level,
conspiracy to commit vote fraud, and finally,
"commingling of funds" with the US Govt
financial institutions.

And we will call it even.

"Bunko" its not a Crime,
it's a Platform for Presidency!

Default A Xmas Gift to the Environmentalists (energy subject time rules court)

Actually, this is too many posts on this
subject... I apologize ahead of time.

But, let me throw in two last turn of events
here in the past day... The Bush administration
seems to have a -real- problem testifying under oath.
Seems they feel they are above the Law...

http://www.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS/12/15/scotus.cheney/index.html

"WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The Supreme Court has agreed
to hear Vice President **** Cheney's challenge
to a court ruling that would force him to
disclose details of meetings between his energy
policy task force and the industry. (Haliburton)"
....
"The White House has argued the courts and
Congress have no business making inquiries,
even limited ones, into the decision-making
power of federal agencies and offices.
Cheney has said executive power needs to
be increased in such confidentiality cases."

--Someone remind him this Government is BY THE PEOPLE,
FOR THE PEOPLE!

AND

http://www.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS/12/23/timep.rice/index.html

"WASHINGTON -- Poised to convene its first hard-hitting
hearings in January, the federal commission investigating
the 9/11 attacks continues to be at odds with the
White House over access to key information and witnesses. "
....
"Government sources tell Time that
National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice
is arguing over ground rules for her appearance
in part because she does not want to testify
under oath or, according to one source, in public."

So, Hey, is anyone seeing a pattern emerge ?

Default A Xmas Gift to the Environmentalists (discussion don)

While I appreciate your concern with issues like this, and often agree
with your basic stance (if not quite so vocally), I don't visit ARWM for
political discussion.

The moderators seem to feel you are remaining on-topic, and I will leave
that to them despite my skepticism. However, if you would, as a courtesy
to me and to anyone like me, use '[politic]' or some such preface to your
posts.

Doing this will help me filter out the posts I have no interest in
reading, while not filtering you personally. Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Radiant

Too bad, because, soon, if you don't,
the -very- option won't be there.

Wicca is not US [Neocon] approved.

They want it banned.

Default A Xmas Gift to the Environmentalists - Politics (wicca don)

In article <bsiotq$ksk$1@news.onecall.net>, In The Darkness
<north@onecall.net> writes

Its very important to you, and I think most of us can understand that,
but it would be nice to have some wicca or pagan related posts
occasionally instead of constant posts about Bush.
I don't think you need to persuade the rest of the world that Bush is
dangerous, we already know that, and we do most of us keep up with the
news. Some of even watch the American news channels.

-Great- timing...

I had been thinking about a "Myrrh and Frankincense" post
all night....

While it is given to a "pleasing odor", these two
shouldn't be too far separated.

Frankincense has a staccato odor, rather anti-septic,
while Myrrh is as smooth as it sounds...

"Purrrr...."

Together, the two are -wonderful-.. opposites of
both sharp, and smooth... combined.

A completed Taoistic Axiomatic pair.

Enjoy!

Default A Xmas Gift to the Environmentalists - Politics (religion subject ran)

Shez, disco-slamdancing to Barry Manilow through the newsgroup, got down
and funky and cried:

ITD's idea was good. Put [POL] in the subject line so people can filter
the discussions out or in as wished.

How is environmentalism off-topic for Pagans?

Default A Xmas Gift to the Environmentalists - Politics (mind don)

I have been thinking the same thing. While personally, I don't mind some
political posts (appropriately marked as "Off-Topic"), it just seems like In
The Darkness has been posting much more lately.

This is a reasonable request, folks - all of us who post political stuff
should try to follow it (I'll do so, I hope...).

Blessed be,
