Glad you have found the list so helpful. This is one of the best groups and the RT site is the best IMO for up to date, accurate information on caring for your tort.
As for the book, the info you find on the RT site is much better info so it would be better to print that up and stick it in a binder and make your own book. You are so right about this group. Everyone here is quite helpful and
friendly. I learn so much by reading all of the posts and when I do have a question I always get a propt response. As for the book, it was not what I expected for a book published in 2005. IMO russiantortoise.org is the best resource available of any kind. Personally, I would love to see Joe, Julie, Matt, Sohni, etc (too many to name - please do not feel left out!) collaborate on a Tort book. Perhaps it would not be cost effective to publish, but they could sell it in Adobe format - like an ebook. Part of the proceeds could go to Turtle Rescue of Long Island (HINT!). I have done what Julie suggested and created my own little notebook, but it is not the same as having an actual text in hand. There is tremendous info on the russiantortoise.org site as well as here and making your own notebook is the way to go. I have been starting a binder and online notes (lost a lot due to computer virus) and have asked probably too many dumb questions here and everyone has always been very helpful.
It would be nice to have a large get together to meet one another, but I am sure we all cannot leave our shelled friends. The proceeds you may be refering to can go to Joe's store and Julie's TRLI raffle or just donations. Julie, When does the next raffle start? Ron You are so right about this group. LOL, You are very sweet to drop such a subtle hint about proceeds of a book being donated to our rescue, but Joe already helps us tremendously by hosting our website. That in itself is priceless. :-)
