Default Carefresh ?

As I posted elsewhere, I use Carefresh for my Savannah Monitor. He seems
to love it well above anything I have tried for his substrate, including
dirt. After a few days of his digging, there seems to be a lot of dust
from the short paper fibers. It doesn't get airborne that bad, but just
wondered if there may be a respiratory hazard with him burying himself
in it so much? He seems disappointed if I use anything else!
Any ideas or opinions welcomed!!

I have used CareFresh for years, and have never seen ANY ill-effects
resulting in its use.

Furthermore, there have been no do***ented cases (medical or otherwise) of
the small particulate of dust associated with CareFresh as being a health
concern.

I have a customer who works at the Carefresh manufacturing facility up
here. He says after seeing how it's made there is no way he'll use it
for any of his animals. He won't elaborate.

Thanks Wade!
I feel more at ease now. I think my Monitor is laying there smiling at
me from his Carefresh as I type this....lol. I had never heard of any
problems with the use of Carefresh, and was hoping no one else had
either!

Good thing you don't know anyone who works at a meat-packing
facility....you'd never eat meat again. ;-)

.....although fr0glet's post could pertain to almost ANY product for any pet.
Ever seen how dog & cat food is made...even the "high quality" products?

I buy free-range Washington meat. The packing facility is less than 10
miles from my house, my brother used to work there, and I've toured
the facility unofficially.

I NEVER EVER eat hot dogs or maraschino cherries. :-X

Read of it here on RPH

I use plain newspaper. I'll be damned if I spend money for something to
SHIT on, AND THEN have to throw it out!!??? $$$$$$$ I don't think so.
Come to think about it, though, I DO buy toilet paper.

Well.....I'm sure many won't believe this, but my Savannah has only shit
on Carefresh once since he became "tame"! Then it was my fault because I
didn't pay him any attention when he was signaling me that he had to go!
He lets me know when he has to go, and I take him out, put him in his
tub, he shits, and I put him back in his tank! He has really amazed me
lately!

Just put a stack of newspaper next to your toilet.
