Default Cleopatra Is Missing (tortoise turtle)

I know this is a "long shot", but my family wants me to try everything.

Cleopatra is a California desert tortoise (an ancient beauty). She has
been living with us since 1977.

Sometime on 28 or 29 August, Cleopatra managed to wander off in the area
of Smoketree west of Kanan in Oak Park, CA (91377). She will be looking
for shade, so please check the shrubs in your front yard, under parked
cars, and in your garage. Since she is a desert tortoise and not a
turtle, do not place her in water.

We really miss her and will pay a reward for her return. If you know
where Cleopatra is, please reply to this posting.

Note that California desert tortoises (Gopherus agassizii) are an
endangered species. Under §5000 of the California Fish and Game Code,
it is illegal to “sell, purchase, harm, take, possess, or transport any
tortoise” unless it is registered. In accord with §5002 of the Code,
Cleopatra was registered with the California Department of Fish and Game.

Cleo has been found! About 30 miles away! No, she didn't walk. The
person who found her wandering down the street decided to give her to
his daughter at the other end of the county. Then he saw our flier and
called.
