Default Concerned About Leopard Gecko's Health.... (water dragon ball python corn snake melleri sulcata)

We bought a leopard gecko back before Christmas. Up until just a few
days ago, she's been fine. She's been growing quite well, I believe;
she seems to shed her skin every week or two. She's been quite
active, and enjoys chasing down crickets.

However, she hasn't eaten for two or three days, now. She's showing
no interest in food (crickets or the mealworms we just bought for her)
even when it's right in front of her. She also seems, well,
"uncoordinated" is the best word I can think of. I thought at first
that one of her legs might be hurt, but that doesn't seem to be the
case. She seems quite frail, though, and as often as not, when she
moves, she sort of pushes her head along instead of lifting it.

I'm planning to take her to see a vet on Monday, but in the meantime,
I was hoping someone might have some ideas as to what might be the
problem and what might be done about it.

I'll also mention, though I doubt it's related to the other problem,
that she never seems to manage to get all of the skin off her toes
when she sheds. She's had loose bits of skin still attached to them
for quite a while now. Is there anything we can do to help her get
rid of that? We have a covered area in her "habitat" with moss we
keep damp, which is supposed to help her shed, but she just doesn't
seem to like spending time in it....

Thanks for any advice or assistance!

hello,

Sand?

could be it's gut is full of sand. many people keep leo's very happily on
the stuff other have trouble with the geckos eating it and it build up in
them and blocks them up.

also give it a dry hide and a damp hide, it will know when to use them.

the vet sounds like a plan, get it wormed anyway.

best of luck with it, whilst its poorly keep it as warm have you can.

if its not eating give it a small amount of peach baby food ( half a
tea-spoon)

if it likes that (and some love it!) next time mash some crix in it.

keep us posted.

that could be a problem, i can always tell when my animals are not feeding
and unwell, its like a 6th sense....if you can tell something is wrong, just
not not feeding for a short time, or something out of the ordanary then get
it off to a vet

Hi.

I am concerned about my Leopard Gecko. She seems to be off-balance & every so often she will roll over, back onto her feet. What I have been reading, it sounds like she has an eye infection with the cloudiness & she can barely open it. Would this cause her to be off-balance and roll over? Should I be worried?!
