Hi,

I have a one year old iguana, my first iguana. I have only had him 2 days.
I have a 3 level climbing post that he loves to hang out on. I put it in
the bathroom and turn the shower on for a bit to heat the room and create
humidity. Our home is normally about 72-76 degrees. What I am concerned
with is how long I can leave him out to play on that before he becomes too
cool. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

I have a small Ig room (for 2 Igs, one had 9 years, the other about 8) and i
use a thingy, the plastic bottle where you pump the top, to build up
pressure, then mist the Igs and room, this works a treat.

The like to be misted and they have a hot heat source at one end, so they
self regulate.

I would say the temps are a low. I would increase it.

An iguana will not have a problem at 72-76 degrees for a fun romp.
That's the temp I have for the absolute cool end of my Ig's cage, and
he chills there on occassion. Just have the playtime early in the day
so your Ig has plenty of time to warm back up before night time.
