I have seen a speckled rattlesnake fall down the side of a cliff,
bouncing several times along the way, had to be about 3 stories high, from top to where he landed. When I picked it up with my tongs to relocate him (I rescue rattlers through a non-profit organization in AZ) he didn't hesitate to strike and leave venom on the tongs. When I first arrived: http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c1...5001edited.jpg After relocating back up the hill he fell from: http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c1...9162005009.jpg The homeowner that called the organization's hotline was out on his back patio when he saw this poor snake falling. He thought it was a piece of rubber or something like that, until it started moving. How's your Leo doing now that it's been a few days? I think that he'll be okay, but if you have any doubts, take him to a vet that deals with reptiles and knows geckos... Good Luck! Kat |
