i just encountered this snake in my backyard. could anybody please tell me what species is it? it's about 4.5 inch long and 2-3 mm in breadth and it's head is kind of rounded and it's definitely not an earthworm you can also tell me what to feed it. please find the picture at http://fb.esnips.com/web/kay2gtsStuff and then see the image IMG_4429 thanks |

You did not say WHERE you found it, which may help in positively identifying
it. The pictures aren't very detailed, but if you're in the United States, I'd say you have a species of blind snake, _Leptotyphlops_. Example: http://www.mcmartinville.com/mcmarti...exas/blind.htm As far as what to feed it, if you're suggesting keeping it as a pet or a study specimen, you will need a steady supply of tiny ants, termites, and their larvae. These snakes aren't terribly exciting to watch! ![]() Chris ** Posted from http://www.teranews.com ** |
