Default Trip to the Jungle...

OK..not really...but kinda,

Going to Cancun for the first time in January.
Gonna stay for a week with no kids! WaaaHOOO!

We're planning the usual tourist stuff, shopping, dolphin
swim,snorkeling,ruins tour,etc.
What I really want is an Eco-Tour or something.
I wanna be guided into the jungle and see some cool herp stuff.

Anybody know of such a thing? Done something like this?

Thoughts?

Default Trip to the Jungle... (iguana)

My daughters went there last year with their mother, they do have some of those
guided jungle tours, though I think they are more gearded toward the ancient
ruins than just traipsing throught the jungle. The tours do take you into the
jungle.
the most awesome thing for me when they got back was the photos of the BC
constricting an iguana (I've successfully imprinted herping into them. LOL) It
was cool to see their photos of a natural occurance, in a native setting.

Tanning booth beforehand as well...
Last thing I need is to be scorched on the first day :-)

Apparently you'll see plenty of "wild" green iguanas hanging around the
tourist areas. The word wild is in commas because they hang around in the
tourist areas because they know there are hand-outs to be had
