It is difficult at best to tell what 2 animals will do when put together in
a confined space. At best they will tolerate one another and at worst, you
know what will happen. If it were me, I'd keep them apart. IMHO

Who is telling you the *** of your dragons and are you absolutely sure they
are both females?

If you are sure, you can try when they are out of both cages to see how they
react, make the first few times where something else is going on besides
them just paying attention to each other, like in a kiddie pool for
swimming. Thats how we check out who gets along with who. From that we know
that out of our 9 big girls, 2 need to be by themselves and the other 6 can
be mixed in together with no problems We keep the girls in groups of 2's or
3's, with 2 of them in enclosures by themselves.

One other girl will get along with the other 7 in that she will not fight or
bite at them, but she kind of ignores they exist, never looking at them and
has to occupy the most and best space..... she will stretch out all four
legs to occupy as much of the basking space as the can until she makes the
others fall off. THEN she looks at them as to say "Oh, what are you doing
on the floor"? Very bratty dragon!

My vet has told me they are both females. They seem to get along
together when they are in the bathtub our running around but when
placed in the cage they try to assert their dominace of each other. I
don't want them to get hurt and am worried that there would be
injuries caused. They behave great as long as they are not in the
same cage.

Then if you are already seeing aggression when they are together, no they
should not be caged together. They may both have Alpha personalities and
can not be together with anyone or only with passive dragon types

Default Two females

Hello Everyone

I have a question I have just found out that Goliath is a girl and am
wondering if she can be put in together with Cassie. When they were
very young and before I had them Cassie lost a bit of her tail to
Goliath. I am wondering if this would happen again as they are both
over a year and eat enough to be bottom pits. I have been watching
and supervising them closely but it seems that they are both wagging
their tails and Cassie is head bobbing. I don't want them to go for
each other and causes injuries. Will it take time or do they have to
get this out of their systems or should I just keep them in seperate
cages as they are older and are used to seeing each other from a
distance.

Thanks Kaitlin

I believe I have 2 females. It is difficult to tell
and I have come to this conclusion because they don't
fight as they would if they were 2 males and they
don't try to mate as they should if they were M and F.
So, assuming they are both females, they get along
vety well. I have NEVER seen any aggression between
them. Some days there is a lot of bobbing and waving
and somedays they look at each other as if they have
never seen each other before. One of them tries to eat
all the good stuff first, so I think she is a
dominant. But, that is about it.
Hope that helps, Louise
