Found a few small Garter`s the other day while walking the creek (two within a
few feet of each other). Then found a Copperhead today. He is about 2 foot long
(and no I did not measure him I thought I spied them last week once, however
they have been pretty elusive (I believe there are several). He was out sunning
himself this morning with another one that I think I heard move away though I
did not see it. I went back and grabbed the camera and thought by the time I
get back he will be gone, yet there he was. It was a bit cold out and it took
me a minute to get him up to the grass, away from the water and bushes. There
is a small outcropping there and I think they were in it, perhaps back under
the tree`s over the winter. Now that I know were to look, i`ll keep an eye out
for him. Don`t know if I would have messed with him had it been warmer out
