Hello I just joined the list (water dragon chameleon dragon iguana veiled)
I was just given a CB female veiled chameleon. That is supposed to be about
2-3 months old. Currently it is in a 10 gal aquarium with a screen addition
bringing the height to about 24 inches. He was given to my by a property owner
that I work for who found it in a unit that a tenant abandoned. For the most
part he seems healthy. I have some experience with reptiles having a
Chinese water dragon and an iguana. I have given it a dedicated basking area and
UVB light setup as well as a drip waterer. My question is this when feeding it I
know that they eat insects, I.E., crickets do they need to be put in a dish
or some other sort of container that is suspended in the foliage and not on
the ground? Should I just put a cricket in the enclosure on the ground and see
what happens?
Thank you. Marc
