New Russian Tortoise

We just got our Russian Tortoise yesterday - it was shipped from CA. So it's probably stressed by that. But it's doing this funny thing. It stretches out it's neck and makes a funny sound. It only does this occasionally. It saw a reference to this in an old post but it didn't say what the problem was. It's almost as if it is asking to be petted (it seems to love that!).
