Default blind hatchling (turtle)

hello,
I am new to being a turtle keeper , new to this group and am desperate
for help. I found a box turtle hatchling 9/25/09. It still had it's
pecking tooth to break out of it's shell and it's yolk sac. It is
believed by the vet that the floods we had in Geogia in Sept. washed
it out prematurely. This little guy was born without eyes according
to the vet. He has not been seen to eat anything, just to drink a bit
of vitamin fortified water. I have been advised to hibernate him now
and hope for the best in the spring. That means I have a few months to
figure out how to get a turtle with no eyes interested in food come
spring! Also, any hints on a perfect hibernation situation would be
much appreciated.

Sincerely,
Sullivan (TurDle bug) Button's mom
