Hi,There is a pet store in my area with a small dark Uromastyx.I know he
has been there for well over a year & they have him in a 10 gallon
tank.Ive had very little experience with reps,but I have read up on
Uromastyx.I feel sorry for him & can offer a 20 gallon tank.Can anyone
tell me more about this sweet little guy? Thanks,Nancy

DO NOT BUY IT. See if they will GIVE it to you--after all, he is costing
the store in food, lighting, and heating costs--it would still save them
money if you took it off your hands. Conventional wisdom says you should
never buy an animal in poor health, as it just encourages the pet stores to
buy more and skimp on their maintenance.

Depending on the species, I'd say even a 20 gallon is too small. Some Uros
are pretty big (2 feet long and even bigger) and need as much space as
possible--custom-built enclosures can be made for cheaper than a glass
aquarium of comparable size.
