Cool! I didn't realize my article on "Scientist:Job Description" at message ID: 3XSWKT6X38021.2873958333@Gilgamesh-Frog.org, had found an audience on the moderated newsgroup "talk.origins". It is surprising to me that anything which contradicts their party line would be forwarded to such a leftist & athiestic newsgroup, much less be "approved" by their leftist & athiestic moderators. My thanks goes out to those who recognize that humankind is mil- lions of years, likely hundreds of millions of years, young and still going strong. Perhaps the most amazing part of all is how, even after many millions of years of creative evolution or evol- ving creation if you prefer, there're still human beings around this planet who actually believe in much the same myth as their medieval orthodox teachers believed: that humans or intelligent human-like sentient beings have survived and thrived for barely more than just a few thousand short years Before Christ! That's truly extraordinary and is, arguably, the most compelling proof that orthodox scientists' theory of evolution is invalidated by the utter absence of atheists' evolutionary development, though they've had aeons (of sidereal Earth-Sun years) to get it right. Some human beings, at least, have clearly NOT evolved over time. Enjoy! Is Min your real last name? If so, where did you get that last name of
yours? Is it Chinese? Burmese also has that word for a person's name but not as a last name. (There is no first name, last name system in Burmese culture. ) I know a guy (well he was my professor long time ago) with Japanese last name who has blonde hair and blue eyes with typical Caucasian features. |

My family's name is of Bavarian origin. My grandparents were all German. My paternal grandparents from Nurnberg, and maternal grandparents originally from Westfalen but had moved to Augsburg. "Min" is a derogatory slander of Xian Jews, since orthodox Jews don't believe that Jesus Christ qualifies as a Jew. "ma'aminei Jesh^ua ha-notsri" ^^^ is the complete phrase in modern Hebrew which basically means "traitor" to orthodox Jews. As my father's father and mother were both staunch Catholics w/Jewish parents who'd converted to Catholicism as a matter of faith and also security--since orthodox Jews were very limited as to what professions they could be "acceptably" employed in old Bavaria--their conversion was a reason to change their family name so that their fellow countrymen could know that they were "honorable" German citizens. And by marrying gentile German Catholics, and raising a family who regularly attended church and observed the Catholic (Roman) calendar, they became "honorable ordinaries" in German society. Hence "Min" means honorable ordinary in Bavaria. There are many German-descended families whose name begins with "Min", most if not all of whom descend from German Jews on one or both sides of their families. My mother's maternal grandmother was Jewish, but that's another story. As for me, I look about as German as can be but my name retains its meaning deep within my heart and is reflected in my work.
