Florida has no huge "alignment" of cliffs. Indeed, many sea shores have no
cliffs. WHAT ARE THE REASONS FOR NO CLIFFS BORDERING THOSE SEA SHORES?

I suspect that no answer I give to your question will satisfy your EE
mentality. But answer I will. There are many seashores that do, in fact
have cliffs. Take the Northwestern California coast, for example. It has
been shaped by the forces of plate tectonics. The rocks are remnants of vast
areas of the sea floor and fragments of the continental margin. The best
known geologic feature in northern California is the San Andreas fault,
which extends north along the coast from San Francisco and ends at the
"Triple Junction" offshore of Cape Mendocino. The Triple Junction is where
the American Plate, Pacific Plate and the Gorda Plate meet. Tectonic forces
drive the Gorda Plate into the American Plate, pushing the Gorda under the
American and forming the northern Coastal Range.

Like Northern California, there are many other seashore cliffs that have
tectonic origins.

I know this doesn't make you happy, but I'm not here to make you happy, JPT.
If you don't like that explanation, I'm sure that you will make up your own.

I might add that once again, you demonstrate an utter lack of knowledge of
basic geology with your whine about seawater. I've been making artificial
seawater for 20 years, so I DO know more than a little about its
composition.

Well thought John, but these are saturated water and deposition is just akin
to the stalactites & Stalacmites in Karst country, while in that case of
course the pattern of deposition is inverted !

Interesting isn't it ?
