Saucers spotted Orbiting Saturn- Oh No more fertilizer
Just got finished my nightly review of the Cassini site and on it is
one stunning picture of the shadow of the moon Atlas on the planet. the
caption reads in part [the "flying saucer" in this image is the small
moon Atlas]. "Flying Saucer" one assumes refers to its oblong shape.
I fully expect within the near future the lunatic fringe to be happily
re-fertilized and energized by this referral on a NASA related website.
Although not directly related I can only be reminded of the Mercury
and Gemini reports that still are afloat today, 40 years later, despite
the truth of their origins. I'm reminded of many tourists attractions
that often use (or passively support) the lore of ghosts or the
supernatural to draw in tourists or induce interest. Am I nitpicking
on this (after all we are talking about the lunatic fringe) or should
NASA have been a bit more savy in its use of words?
