In reference to non unified, unlogical quantified, or non
logical perplexing shenanigan presentations, nothing beats the strange
physics that would occur every year in my little upstate NY town and
village the day after Halloween. The type of physical occurrence effects
that would defy gravity, known physics, logic, observed reality, and
sheer paradox presented evidence.

Even with the combined security force of the local village and town
Police added patrols, Highway patrol, State Police, Sheriff's office,
and private security guard service, the little town village square,
after the night of Halloween, was in a state of hilarious non logical
passive devastation.

If you were targeted for some real or presumed ill deed done to anyone
in town that year, you were at the mercy of the consequences. If you
didn't keep your hollowed night lights on and give enough pay off
dressed kid candy, buy what seemed cases of girl scout cookies, wave or
say hello to all, help any passers by for directions, pick up stranded
town motorists, pay all your local bills always on time, visit and say
hi and wish well to all who were hit with sickness or ill health,
contribute to local charities, help out at little league sports or
concession stands, wave nicely at the Daytona 500 mailman, milkman,
paperboy, no matter where your paper landed, support all school
activities, mow and keep your lawn within 2 to 3 inches, be seen and
waving at patriotic parades, support yearly fair booths, or any other
slight infraction, you were privileged to receive the invisible
visitation.

I lived over twenty years in that sleepy quaint NY upstate place and
loved every minute of it. With my historical Colonial carriage house and
the spectacular Hudson River views, with beautiful sail and river boats
going by, toot of the trains, winding shady roads, my college near by,
and scenic seasonal floral, tree, or winter displays. What fun my family
and I had, with the multi complex, everything in them, new malls across
the river, all the interesting historic places and parks to visit, and
quietness to do my research, writing, and inventions.

The strange physics and shenanigan results of the day after Halloween in
my town though, was the most unforgettable thrill beyond explanation.
Some years you would walk out and your neighbor's home might be covered
with toilet paper from the bottom floor to every gable. A headless
stuffed figure might be protruding in the outlet of a house chimney. The
chimney height was 20 or more feet but there it was. A police car would
be turned perfectly upside down on another parked car unharmed. An
upside down worn broom might be found on the ball top of the village
flag pole, super clued or by some other means that defied gravity. An
old rusted house appliance would be placed on your car or truck hood and
taped for fun. A broken chain bicycle may be found hanging from a street
lamp post with wheels still speeding in the wind. Foam covered foul
slogans on ill fated autos, homes, and buildings. Toilet papered Tee
peed trees, cars, houses, buildings, you name it. It looked so strange
and perplexing, yet in a mysterious way intriguing to the eyes. One year
there must have been 10 to 20 old cars and things piled high one on top
of each other in the middle of village square, but no one had heard or
saw a thing the night before? Some folks could be seen openly weeping,
others laughing like me. For in all the years I lived there no one did
anything to my home, or cars, lawn figurines, and all knew of my strange
inventions and late hours. Sometimes I would stay up all night doing
research but never heard or encountered an upset visitor. For some of my
close neighbors though it was another case, in some years their homes
would not be so lucky and wondered why my home and things were never
touched. I never had to remember to lock my doors for all were welcomed
no matter the hour. I even ran out late one scary rainy Halloween night
against my best judgment to see if I could catch the goings on, but
nothing, not a soul could be seen, yet there was the invisible but real
effects and works of the shenanigans. I talked to the Police who were on
close guard and asked, what's going on? They had no explanation either
and every slight noise, no matter what, was followed up with no avail.
Something so strange, so mystifying, so unexplainable, and yet quietly I
rooted for these rebels who were never found or caught, because of the
shear provocative and magnitude of brazen acts and physics gravity
defying done with so overwhelming police watch.

It used to be that one of our neighbors down the road had a large
pumpkin patch. I was always amazed by how on Halloween those pumpkins
could seemingly defy the law of gravity and rise up out of that
pumpkin patch, and end up smashing themselves all around the
community!

I guess that explains why most pumpkins are harvested before
Halloween!
