Default blonde hair spawned from weak grey hairs?

Hi, I recently discovered that all of my natural blonde hairs which is
mixed in a very small proportion with my black hair are all grey at
the bottom part. Then I started wondering, did blonde hair come from
grey hairs which was losing out on proteins and nutrients?

When you say "bottom part", are you referring to logical bottom, i.e.
nearest the root, or physical bottom as your hair hangs down your neck
and shoulders, i.e. most distant from the root?

If the roots are gray, it simply means that recently (within the past
few months) you have gotten sufficiently old that your metabolism is
creating gray hair now. The roots are the most recently-created hair,
since the transition, while the rest of the hair was created long ago,
before the transition.

But don't you think this is a bit odd? that all of it was BLONDE at
the top?
none of the grey hairs were fully grey and none of it was black at the
top.

Not just that, but I don't really remember having this much blonde
hair on my scalp EVER. not until just recently when a ton of it turned
into grey/blonde.
