Limning the nature of language with a limping limmerick
A meager and often histrionic Parisian tory,
who was eager to bask in self-granted self-gratifying gnostic glory,
did in an attempt to combat certain cognitive shortcomings with conceptual
once deceptively ask:
Is it not reflected by certain tell-tale layers
of neuroanatomy, emerged through the process of evolution,
that language as a glue for culture is exemplified and partly evidenced by
the obvious fact that ethnic identity is maintained by tales of common
of neurons, and complementary other correlated aspects of our physioanatomy.
This general feature of our genophenotype has on the whole been
(adaptive). At least this far.
These features (lingual-cognitive focuses of actention and corresponding
actention modules and genes
being transiently energized and maintained and in the first place
ontogenetically switched on)
reflect a correlated conglomerate of evolutionary opportunities (primarily
positively patterning Darwinian pressures)
and (primarily negatively selective or naturally "pruning in") adversities.
Out of the "adversities" involved, lifetime situations (or ditto challenges)
that implore "specific hibernation"
(and selective unconsciousness) are the crux of what is, quite naturally,
normally least understood.
Accordingly, a central key to conquering Nature (in this respect) lies in a
comprehension of the concept of SHITS.
