Default Wow, look at this!

Yes Jan it is. As in evidence of people who are probably just like us, 90% or more
made of water.

The blue area is an attempt to obviously hide, the glass tunnel, so as to not make the Yanks
look foolish.

If you examine this clipped portion
http://www.members.shaw.ca/rsobie/marsreull_vallis_left_top.jpg

Then go and download the hi res tiff format image, from here
http://sci.esa.int/science-e/www/object/index.cfm?fobjectid=34526

and examine closely the blue area in the top left, you will see distinctly,
that the tunnel ends, at a rectangular shaped area, with equally spaced
holes.

So I think that it is time to make the announcement and clear the air.

What a wonderful discovery!

You know, something just occurred to me. Whoever announces the
find, be that the people from Hubble who probably have some clear
images, or the people at JPL, or the people at ESA, they will
go down in history!

For this will go down in history for many many years to come as
perhaps the greatest discovery in the history of mankind.

I found the square image with the holes in it BTW.

Just so we're clear on that.

On a sunny day (Sun, 07 Mar 2004 23:24:28 GMT) it happened "Rick Sobie"

Indeed it is a strange square object, one would expect it to be round
or elongated perhaps.
Also it is very symmmetrical.
If COULD of cause be a hidden US tank ;-)

Well, whatever this is, the pictures are very impressive, and if this is
the correct color, there will be a lot more to discover there.
It is a pity ESA did not land, but for the camera work I can only
congratulate them.

Yes it was your post that made me look at the ESA site.
What specifcally impresses me is the flow pattern around that erea.
Also the near dark colors, perhaps something is still growing there.
With a resolution of 12 m per pixel, perhaps it is a bushy area,
those dots?
Let's see, I downloaded the 2 MB one, and it is reported here as
2362x2362 pixels.
I cropped it and the left dot is about 7x7 pixels.
So 84 by 84 meters.
Could be some trees or other bushes.
Man would I like to see that close.
The other thing that blows me away is that those dots are GREEN.
Just use your viewer and crop that area!
Stones that are GREEN?, man maybe we have real bushes here!
WOW!
Thank you for pointing this out!

I will download the high-res 16 MB later this month hopefully ADSL
is installed here then, now I am still on a very slow line.
That will also allow me to download some more interestings stuff.
