Default Combinatorial problem....

Im reading about mendelan transmissional genetics, and want to understand
someting in a more mathematical way.

they state that [(3/4) + (1/4)]^3 = 27:9:9:9:3:3:3:1
I can deduce, that:
[(3/4) + (1/4)]^2 = 9:3:3:3:1
and
[(3/4) + (1/4)]^1 = 3:1

They dont show the calculations involved, and thats what im intrested in, if
you can show me those i would be pleased, or if you could provide me with a
link to understand this.

Basectly i want to under stand how do i calculate this:

[(m/z) + (n/z)]^x = ?

Where m+n = z and all letters indicate intigers.

if u want to e-mail me my e-mail adress is bandrew@jubiimail.dk

Look for "binomial theorem" or "binomial formula". E.g.
