Default symmetric tensor derivative

How are questions normally posted to this group? I'll use LaTeX-ish
notation in this post. I'm not a mathematician, just an engineer with
a question.

I understand that for a vector r_i, that
dr_i/dr_j = delta_ij.
I also think that for a tensor t_ij, that
dt_ij/dt_kl = delta_ik delta_lj.
Is this correct?

What about when t_ij = t_ji?
dt_ij/dt_kl = dt_ji/dt_kl = dt_ij/dt_lk, right?
So then does:
dt_ij/dt_kl = delta_ik delta_lj + delta_il delta_kj - delta_iklj?
