Two questions.

1. How many spin states are possible according to current theory? IOW,
what is the maximum number of spin states? By 'spin', I mean
'intrinsic angular momentum', a discrete intrinsic property of a
fundamental particle.

2. Is there a theory or hypothesis out there that associates intrinsic
spins with the dimensionality of the universe?
