I'm going to disagree with you as to your blaming scientists for the
deaths of the people in Bam. It does not matter which theories one
wants to align themselves with, because earthquakes just do what they
want to, when they want to and no scientists or other human beings are
going to have any influence upon them.

Bam survived 2000 years in a country which is ravaged by deadly
earthquakes often and enjoyed their peace. But the hand of Nature or
God, acted and half of the people and their city are now gone. No one
knew it was going to happen and the only way to prevent this disaster
would have been to level the city years ago and rebuild with modern
technology. But there is no money for such things and we all have to
acknowledge that.

Paso Robles, CA had its own kind of devastion this last week when they
had their earthquake. It didn't come with a huge loss of life, but it
will live in the shadow of what once was because there's no money to
restore what was there. The financial impact on those poor souls is
enormous. Paso Robles in less than 200 years old and they didn't fair
out so well.

Let us not be so quick to judge. If you lived in tornado alley in
America and a tornado ate your home and family, do you think the
weatherman should be responsible? They do the best they can, but
Nature has its own agenda.
