Now that Vick will get booted from the NFL the Falcons will save a huge
amount of money as they no longer have to pay Vick's enormous salary. He
was increasingly looking overrated and a financial burden for the Falcons.
Once the dust has settled Atlanta football fans will realize this is a great
turn of events.

It will all depend on the contract signed. If there is some morality
clause that they can use against him then they can recover any
guarantted money or be able to void the remainder of the conract. If
not the Falcons may have to take the cap hit while he is sitting in
jail.

That would be the ultimate irony.

They will still take the signing bonus hit (and it will be immediately if he
is released). He's the second highest paid player in the NFL. It won't be
pretty, but hopefully the Falcons have the balls to do what's right.

The signing bonus is the guaranteed part of the contract. All the
