product is sold here or not.

As part of a "voluntary" agreement once intended to limit the US
tobacco co.s from limitless liability for imbeciles' voluntary
lifestyle choices the tobacco co.s agreed to limit sports sponsorships
to one team within a sport, thus Marlboro appears on Penske (pre- and
post- sell-out) and not on Ferrari. ...Similar with Players.

....And the owners of West also own Davidoff at least, which are sold
here.

You know all this crap is about to start with alcohol, don't you ?
Just a couple of days ago, i've heard on the news some ramblings that
our and other (some alleged, ie : US <G> ) governments are looking
into alcohol sponsorship and advertising in sport. Which apparently
associates sport with booze for our young ones.. Wohooo..
What's next ? Motor racing promotes speeding ? Monaco race will be
forced to inkeep with existing road signs. All purpose built tracks
will have to be speed limited, the limits to be determined by a
committee of 65 year old ladies and their parents..
