Just turn off the TV.

It's easy. I promise.

Come on the celebrity softball game is fun! There's nothing like a bunch of
entertainers make fools of themselves. ;-)

You're just trying to find things to complain about huh? The AS break is a
few days so they fill in the days that the AS game isn't on with a few other
activities.

Certainly too long, but the battle between Pujols and Giambi in the semis
was pretty good. Of course, it went on so long I didn't have any interest
in watching the final -- which I understand was pretty good as well. Can't
say I'd ever watched one of these things before, but it was mildly entertaining.

Yea, now that nonsense is really stupid.

I'm wondering why, when we have a three-day break, did they play the
Futures Game on Sunday? If they played it on Wednesday, it might
actually get some media coverage.

I was thinking the same thing. The AAA All-Star game is , at least , on Wednesday but it is on ESPN2
which is still missing on many systems.

Going to a HR derby in person is a lot more fun, IMHO. You don't have to
worry about irritating announcers or bad camera work that, for example,
doesn't follow the flight of the ball. (I don't think anyone has pointed
this out yet.)

I went to the derbies in 2001 and in 1997. Had a great time both times.
Watching it on TV doesn't do anything for me (I opted to practice my
piano playing instead), but if I ever get the chance to go again, I'll
take it in a heartbeat.

I stopped watching it early last year because of the awful camera work,
and didn't even bother watching it this year.

So, let me see if I've got this straight, the flight of the ball,
inasmuch as balls can "fly" at least, was *NOT* followed by the camera?

Not only that, but, insofar as the camera can "follow" anything,
the flight of the ball was not the thing the camera followed.

I'm so glad we've got that cleared up now. --
