Default #1 Kentucky falls to #20 Louisville

Louisville might, at least, be top #15 this coming week after knocking
off then #1 Florida and now #1 Kentucky. How many #1 teams do they have
to be to get any respect?
They started this year at #16, went to #17 before they played a game.
Lost the first game they played by 1 on the road in overtime and dropped
to #26 position.

Please, like anybody really believes Florida is even a top ten team.

Didn't we establish that SEC teams are overrated at the end of last season?
How fast the voters forget! Neither Florida nor Kentucky belongs to top 16.
They play really sluggish games. I predict only one SEC team could advance
to Sweet 16 this year. Maybe none.

Vandy!

It's funny, though. In my family, we are mainly fans of Texas (most of my
immediate family went to UT, including mom, dad, grandfather, and my
sister-in-law, and I'm doing grad school here), Vanderbilt (my alma mater)
and Ge****a Tech (my brother's alma mater).

Now, before the season started, who amongst you would have guessed that
*Texas* would be the only one of those three that wasn't undefeated and
playing excellent basketball?

Well, counting Florida is kinda sneaky since they'd already
been beaten earlier that week by Maryland. They were only #1
due to inadequate refresh rate.....

And when the polls "refresh" this week, Kentucky will not be #1.

Me. I'm one hell of a prognosticator, but I don't like to brag.

(Or is that "procrastinator"? Let me think about that for a while...)

Damned fine game by Louisville, I thought. I only saw most of the second
half to the end, but they played hard and with some definite skill. They
did have a couple mistakes that could have been huge, but they just
fought through them nicely and simply beat Kentucky. Make no mistake,
Kentucky is good and beating them in Rupp even tougher.

The UNC team I saw today will lose by 50 to the Kentucky team I saw on
TV yesterday, too. *sigh*
